To respond to the national strategy of developing new productive forces and deepen the integration of artificial intelligence with the steel industry, the "AI + Steel Action: Get into Tencent – Experiencing the New Power of AI" event was successfully held at Tencent's Beijing headquarters on the afternoon of July 8, 2025. Hosted CAMT and co-organized by CAMT Internet and Digital Intelligence Speical Committee and Tencent Cloud, the event was attended by Chen Leiming, Executive President and Secretary-General of CAMT, and Song Fang, General Manager of Tencent Cloud's Energy and Resources Industry Department.

Over 60 leaders from steel supply chain enterprises, internet companies, and technology innovation enterprises across the country participated in the event.

The event brought together core forces in the digital transformation of the steel industry to discuss the application prospects and challenges of AI technology in the steel sector. Speakers included Gao Xiaoguo, Deputy General Manager of the Digital Intelligence Service Division at Ouyeel Cloud Commerce Co., Ltd.; Yang Dajun, Director of the E-Commerce Division at Delin Land Port Supply Chain Service Co., Ltd.; Lin Chuanwen, Member of the Council and Assistant to the President of the Data Space Research Institute, Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center; Zhu Kunlong, CTO of Beijing Lange Cloud Commerce Technology Co., Ltd.; Gu Fenghua, General Manager of Ganglian Cloud (Beijing) Technology Development Co., Ltd.; and Pan Minzhe, AI expert from Tencent.

In the interactive session, participants including Gao Rui, General Manager of China Chengtong Metal Group Co., Ltd.; Yang Haoming, Deputy Party Secretary and Discipline Inspection Commission Secretary of Hunan International Trade Group Co., Ltd.; Jiang Linlin, Chairman of Yitian Internet of Things (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.; and Zheng Chao, Deputy General Manager of Henan Jinchengda Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd., shared their insights on the specific applications of AI in the steel industry. All agreed that AI applications will bring new development opportunities to the steel industry, driving it toward smarter and more efficient development.
